Lion's lived to regret missing some early chances when they started off the stronger of the two teams. Rising Sun took a two nil lead at half time after a midfield half volley found a corner of the net and and sucker punch lob over the Lion's keeper on the counter attack after a Lion's attack broke down before half time.
Ali Collins scored a glorious individual goal in the second half, but it wasnt enough to stop Rising Sun take advantage of some tired legs and some rotational team changes in the Lion's side.
Result aside it was all about getting match fit for the Lion's and to give the squad a good airing! A quick and young Rising Sun side should do well in Division 2 next season.
