Lion's starting eleven: Gardner, P.Farr, Fildes, French, Dye(C), Bushey, Burnage, Collier, Canning, D.Jefferies, Harvey.
Breachwood were playing Pin Green for the second time this season after losing one nil in their opening game of the season. Today's game was at Canterbury Way. Pin Green had the better start. Lion's keeper Wayne Gardner pull off a great point blank save from the Pin Green centre forward, before another Pin Green player's follow up shot went in off the post after the Lion's failed to clear the danger.
Breachwood responded and had their best period of play in game in the last twenty minutes of the first half. Dye and Bushey were able to dig the ball out of midfield for the attacking runs of Burnage and Canning supporting the forward guile of John Harvey.
Collier and French did well to cut down the counter attacking supply to the quick Pin Green centre forward. Pete Farr was committed as ever to the Breachwood cause in tracking the forward runs of Pin Green players.
Often Danny Jefferies would pick out Andy Fildes in space and the Lion's moved the ball around searching for a way through Pin Green. Just before half time Jefferies made a decisive move to the edge of the Pin Green box and lifted the ball over the defenders leg for Canning to curl the ball into the far corner of the net for 1-1 at half time.
Early in the second half Pin Green regain the lead after attacker was able to find space to pick his shot.
Breachwood made some changes in determination to get something from the game. Pearson,Marlow and Weeks replaced Peter Farr, Collier and Burnage. Despite shots from Jefferies, Bushey, Harvey and Weeks, the Lions were unable to find the killer ball.
Unfortunately the Lions were caught being over committed moving forward, when two Pin Green counter attacks resulted in two goals to give Pin Green a 4-1 win
