Lion's starting eleven: Gardner, Pearson,A.Jefferies, Fildes, French, Dye(C), D.Jefferies, Burnage, Weeks, Harrison, Canning
Today's game was against Peartree in the Quarter Final of Division 1 Cup but the first game for 6 weeks due to the weather.
Peartree scored two goals in quick succession midway in the 1st half that were almost identical. Left wing crosses found the striker at the far post to score from close range, it might of been three if not for a excellent save from Gardner pushing the ball round the post. And the again when Adam Jefferies clearence turned into a stunning own goal that clipped off the bar for a corner. French cleared to alleviate more Peartree pressure.
Breachwood fought back, after two successive corners from Michael Weeks, the second came back to Weeks and after a pass back from Dye put in a right wing cross that found Harrison six yards out to head home into the roof of the net.
Unfortunately Peartree pinched another just before half time after a goal mouth scamble. Danny Jefferies then hit the post from the edge of the box for Breachwood.
Lions applied more pressure with free kicks from Burnage & Fildes.
In the second half Fildes helped to bolster the midfield allowing Danny J to pull a few more strings as Lion's enjoyed a fifteen minute spell of putting Peartree under pressure.
Peartree got a gift of a fourth goal when the ball fell to the feet of their striker in the six yard box.
Ali Collins replaced Harrison and Jordan replaced the battling Pearson.
Collins got a second for the Lions after going through one on one with the Peartree keeper.
The game ended 4-2 to Peartree. After four successive years of being in their Divisional final, Breachwood wont be there this year.
