Lion's starting eleven: Gardner, French, Jordan, P.Farr, Harrison, D.Jefferies, Fildes, Burnage, Weeks, Weeks, Canning, Marlow.
Kevin Currey was the referee for the Lion's last home game of the season in Division 1 against Coopers.
Breachwood started brightly with Andy Fildes playing a pivotal role in midfield that allowed Danny Jefferies to attack.
Jefferies threatened the Coopers defence with quick interlinking passes to Burnage and Canning, and by playing sweeping passes out to Michael Weeks on the right wing.
Marlow did well to hold the ball up front and playing in the Lion's midfield players
Most of Cooper's chances came early in the first half as the rejigged Lion's side took a little longer to settle defensively. Gardner was called on to make one key save.
Cooper's forwards were closed down early with help from midfield. Pete Jordan played with great anticipation and often turning defence into attack clearing the ball to Burnage and Marlow on the left wing.
Breachwood got the break they needed with a clever passing move started by Jefferies with Canning and Marlow resulting in a Burnage cross driven across the face of the Coopers goal that eluded everyone except Weeks arriving late from the right wing to hit the ball into the bottom left corner of the net to give the Lion's the lead.
In the second half, Breachwood were determined to keep their lead, French and Harrison helped to head clear a succession of corners from Coopers.
Jefferies switched the angle of attack this time to the left wing, allowing Burnage to pounce and score another top corner goal, only to be ruled offside.
Pete Farr surged out of defence to supply the perfect pass to Pearson who replaced the injured Weeks late in the second half. Pearson found Canning in an advance position for a shot at goal.
The Lion's forwards ensured the win in the last minute by playing keep ball by the Coopers corner flag.
The win was the Lion's first for several weeks and also the first time that they had beaten Coopers in recent seasons.
Pete Jordan was today's Managers Man of the Match.
