It was the Lion's first pre season friendly today against Division 3 sideStevenage Fencing.
David Bailey was the Ref.

Lions starting eleven: Gardner, French, Hill, P.Farr, D.Farr, Harrison,Canning (C), Painter, Pearson , Marlow, B.Dye

Despite a goal offside and some good chances, Lions trailed 1 nil at halftime.

In the second half Jordan replace Gardner in goal.
Later Gardner & A.Dye replaced D. Farr and the injured Steve Painter.

In pushing forward to address the deficit, the Lions went another goal downbefore Pearson hit a low shot from 30yards that rolled under the keepers body to sneak in to the net at the right post.

Late on Fencing scored another after the ball rolled along the Lions goalline.

Despite the result of losing 3-1, it was a good fitness exercise for theteam and every player put in a decent performance.

Ha Ha Ha, funny how you forgot the disallowed goal we had that was blatenly onside plus the missed open goal we failed to score which was only just cleared off the line. However I must give you guys credit for a good performance and applaud you for scoring scoring 2 goals against a researve keeper and make-shift team to absent key players. Anyhow good luck for the season and we will see you in a year or two when you make it up to division one from division four. I'm off now for my work out at the gym!!!

Ha Ha Ha Ha, the old "you lost to in division 4 side". I like the way you put yourself down as a crap team to make us look crap when you have just blatenly admitted that your players have played in both Division 1 and the Premiership. I could go on making excuses like our team were missing 5 of the first team etc etc but hey I aint that shallow to put down any of our players, even the reserves we had that day. To be honest I have no interest in getting in a slagging match with anyone after praising them for putting on a good game but I do have to say, before you write another comment can you please learn to spell because it annoys me having to try and read the spelling of a 5 year old child.
Anyway this conversation was like 2 weeks ago and really doesn't interest me anymore as it has no affect on our season. So once again I will wish you luck for the new season and leave it there.
