Lion's starting nine! : French, Pearson, Jordan, Fildes, Harrison (C), D.Farr, I.Turkentine, Gardner, Burnage.
Todays Referee was Ben Gooray.
Today was the heaviest defeat in the Lion's history and also the first time fielding less that eleven players due to a long list injuries and other commitments. Usual goalkeeper Wayne Gardner had to play outfield due to breaking a couple fingers last week in goal. Graham French deputised in goal. Despite the number of well hit goals from Pig & Whistle, he also made a number of great saves.
Lion's actually took the lead in the first half when the Pig goalkeeper could not hold Turkentines well struck free kick and Adam Burnage made no mistake with the loose ball.
However Pig scored from the restart with a left wing cross that sailed in under the Lion's bar into the far top corner of the net.
Playing a 4-3-1 formation the Lion's were bound to struggle. Pig scored a total of 7 in the first half, one of which was a Penalty after Harrison had fouled in the area.
Breachwood tried to make it as difficult as possible for Pig score further in the second half, however they scored another 7 , but with most of them towards the end of the game.
Breachwood got a consolation goal when Lion's man of the match Andy Fildes clearence found Iaian Turkentine on the left. He was able to turn past a couple of Pig & Whistle defenders before beating the keeper from just inside the box.
Despite the 14-2 final score, Lion's had played with good spirit and every player giving 100%
