Away at Hampson Park The Lion's starting eleven: Gardner, French, Fildes, Jordan, Marlow, Dye(C), D.Jefferies, Burnage, P.Farr, Harrison, Canning.
The First half was end to end with chances falling to Harrison and Canning up front, and with Gardner pulling off a couple of saves at the other end.
Lion's tried to beat Coopers who played a high up the pitch offside trap with Gardner's long rang kicking and with Burnage and Pete Farr looking for the space down the wings.
The Lions defensive unit of French, Fildes, Marlow and Jordan were determined to keep Coopers at bay and to spring counter attacks.
Nil nil at half time
In the second half Coopers took the lead from a corner before Lion's Captain Danny Dye pulled one back for the Lions after some trickery from Danny Jefferies.
Jefferies played the ball through two defenders for Dye to run on and slot the ball into the bottom right corner of the net.
Substitute Peter Crisp replaced Harrison
Coopers then took the lead again for 2-1 from another corner that fell to a Coopers play inside the Breachwood box.
Painter & D.Farr replaced P.Farr and Jordan.
Breachwood surged forward with Andy Fildes, desperate to salvage something from the game having played so well. Danny Jefferies had two efforts from range forcing the Coopers keeper to push the ball onto the woodwork. Breachwood kept up the pressure right up until the final whistle. Canning nearly scored at the end with a diving header at the far post but the game ended 2-1 to Coopers.
Graham French was the Managers Man of the Match.
