Breachwood started brightly with Andy Fildes and Iaian Turkentine creating moves from the back.
Dan Dye battled in midfield and put AndyDye in to run in one on one with the keeper for a great chance. The keeper narrowed the angle and Dye shot wide.
Dye also had two more similar chances.
Left back Michael Weeks overlapped and attacked well down the right wing.
Putterills took the lead when they had a freekick just outside the Lion's box.
French managed to save the freekick and a second chance from close range but stretched in vain to keep out the third atempt.
French managed to punch clear another Putterills shot across goal.
Breachwood had plently of possesion but were unable to find the breakthrough.
In the second half Danny Jefferies came close with his back to goal, flicking the ball over his head and the defenders, before turning to volley the ball against the crossbar.
Gardner hit the bar with a curling corner.
Late on Matt Osborn made his debut up front replacing Gardner and had a couple of runs at goal.
Adam Jefferies overlapped down the left wing to keep up the Lion's momentum as Breachwood chased the game for a point late on.
Danny Dye combined well with Danny Jefferies who forced the Putterills keeper to make a save.
Lion's eventually ran out of time, Putterills winning the game one nil.
