Despite the frost today's Division One Cup quarter Final against Emperors Head went ahead at Hampson Park.
Breachwood took the lead when a cross was floated in and Iaian Turkentine stooped to score with a trademark diving header at the far post from six yards.
Pete Jordan did well in defence cutting out the Emperors play and setting up Gardner on the left wing for an attack. Breachwood then switched the play as the instrumental Captain Dye linked well with Adam Jefferies, playing Burnage in on the right flank to beat the offside trap for an attempt on goal.
Lion's soon doubled their lead when Warren Hearne finally scored his first goal for the club (in the right net) with a peach of shot from 25 yards, dipping in under the crossbar.
After beating the offside trap Harrison failed to put Lion's three nil up before half time, dragging his shot just wide of the post.
Lion's led two nil at half time.
Emperors Head pulled a goal back ten minutes after the break with a shot from range, which set up a competitive battle for the the rest of the second half.
Turkentine & Fildes did a sterling job in defence of keeping Emperors Head at bay. Graham French was called upon to turn a Goodyear free kick round the post.
Lion's continued to create chances, Gardner , Hearne and Danny Jefferies all had shots on goal. Harrison's header from a Fildes free kick also went just over the bar.
Emperors Head nearly got level with ten minutes to go when a goal mouth scramble saw the ball hit the Lion's bar and bounce off the goal line.
With minutes to go Burnage broke down the right wing beat the defender a pulled the ball back across the goal for Harrison to guide the ball into the net to seal the win.
Lion's won 3-1 and will now face Pied Piper in the Semi Final.
