Lion's 10 v 0 Stevenage Colt's Old Boy's

Lion' s starting eleven: French, A.Jefferies, Jordan, Fildes, Turkentine, Hearne, D.Jefferies, Gardner, Burnage, Harrison, Canning.

Breachwood got their first goal when Turkentine unselfishly headed the ball back across the goalmouth from a cross, Harrison failed to make a connection but Canning nodded the ball back across again for Harrison to head home from close range.

Goal number two was a classic Lion's set piece, Gardner's long throw in into the penalty area for Harrison to flick on for Burnage to volley into the top corner of the net.

Danny Jefferies then finished off an attacking move with a composed shot across the keeper into the corner of the net.

Ian Canning came close with a shot, Gardner had a speculative effort from outside the box.

Pete Jordan was unlucky to finish off an attacking run from defence.

Defender Adam Jefferies linked well with Adam Burnage down the right wing, who scored his second for the Lion's lead 4 nil at half time.

In the second half Turkentine and Fildes marshalled the Lion's half as the Lion's midfield surged forward for more goals.

A Colts defender turned the ball into his own net from a Burnage corner.
Moments later Danny Jefferies hit the post with a header from a Wayne Gardner corner kick.

Determined to get onto the score sheet Ian Canning scored with a cheeky shot from range.

Danny Jefferies capped his midfield performance with a second goal and then minutes later, playing a superb pass over the Colts defence for Harrison to strike home in off the crossbar.

Burnage got his hatrick by finishing off another Lion's attacking move.

Hearne skillfully chested down a high cross for Harrison to volley home his Hatrick.

John Griffin replaced Wayne Gardner and then nearly scored, lifting his shot just over the bar from inside the box.

Ten minutes before the end David Farr replaced the tireless but injured Pete Jordan.

Final Score Lion's won 10 nil with goalkeeper Graham French keeping a clean sheet.
