North Herts Celtic 5 v 5 Lion's

Starting eleven: Routledge, French, Hill, P.Farr, Griffin(C), D.Dye, J.Mason, Lander, O.Mason, Canning, Harrison

After an initial bright start from North Herts Celtic they were restricted to few counter attacks as Breachwood attacked through the midfield with Canning, Dye and the Mason Brothers but the closet the Lion's came was Harrison's shot being tipped over the bar, before having a goal disallowed due to challenge on the NHC keeper from a Lion's corner. NHC steadily found their footing by opening the scoring with 6 yard shot hitting the top corner. NHC then had a close range goal ruled offside, before the Lion's had a penalty appeal turned down. NHC increased their lead before half time from a corner to two nil.

Dan Jefferies replaced Seb Lander for Breachwood just before the break. Karl Milligan replace Harrison up front in the second half.

NHC scored a third goal after a mistake by Brian Routledge in the Lion's goal saw the ball slip between his legs. Dan Jefferies pulled a goal back when he finished a dribble on the left wing with a shot that found its way into the sweetspot of the far post.

Buoyed by the goal Breachwood scored another through Milligan inside the box, however NHC answered almost straight away with their forth goal.

Milligan was brought down by a goalkeeper lucky to stay on the pitch. Ollie Mason cooly converted the Penalty.

Super Sub Ali Collins replaced Capt Griffin and soon hit the net from close range.

It was true end to end football, NHC found some breathing space with a corner from which they scored their fifth, not to be beaten the Lion's earned another draw five minutes from time with Milligan capping his debut with a brace.
