Breachwood struggled to get going in the first half. The best chance came from a long range shot from Andy Fildles. Dan Jefferies fired over the bar and Richard Taaffe head a corner into the Broadhall keepers arms. Ollie Mason shot wide and was unlucky on a cross from his brother james playing a more forward role on the left. Dan Dye covered the ground well in holding the midfield and was quick to fill in when forward thinking defenders tried to support the attack. Adam Jefferies and James Mason combined on the left wing for half a chance. However Broadhall who had earlier shown glimpses of what they could do, took the lead with a swift pass over the top that was taken well by their quick forward who shot first time into the top corner of the Lion's goal.
At half time Broadhall led one nil
In the second half Blondell replaced Adam Jefferies on the left and ahad a good half chance.
Breachwood's play was much more fluid second half. Ollie Mason's low shot finding the bottom corner of the net to level the score at 1-1
Breachwood were more solid in defence in the second half, with centre backs Hill & Wharton more able to the play the ball out defence and Andy Fildles always providing the option. Goalkeeper Max Anderson stood his ground well when called upon.
The knitting began to come together in midfield, Turkentine, Dye and Dan Jefferies with two fine moves, the first Ollie Mason's cross was struck home by Taaffe. Then Dan Jefferies turned provider for Taaffes second and a 3-1 score line. Not long after Ollie Mason got his second thanks to some great intuitive play from the Lion's for 4-1
Ollie Potton replaced Ollie Mason and Pete Murrell replaced Capt Turkentine for the last fifteen minutes, and both able to make a contribution to the game.
Taaffe had one attempt at securing a hatrick but blasted his shot over the bar, but his third and Breachwood's fifth was scored when the Broadhall keeper tried in vain to stop Taaffe's shot crossing the goal line.
