Emperors Head 1 v 6 Lion's

Lion's starting eleven: Max Anderson, French, Turkentine(C), Fildes, J.Mason, A.Jefferies, Dye, D.Jefferies, O.Mason, Jenkins, Taaffe.

A fine start from Breackwood with Dan Jefferies scoring with an angled shot from Richard Taaffe's through ball.

The roles were reversed for the 2nd goal with Dan Jefferies feeding Taaffe to score from a similar postion inside the box.

Ollie Mason's pass enabled Taaffe to lob an outcoming keeper for Breachwood's third goal

Turkentine nearly added to the Lion's goal tally with a header at the back post going just over the bar from a Dan Jefferies free kick

Dan Jefferies shot was denied by the keeper who then went off with a sprained hand.

An unphased Scott Jenkins playing on the left wing go stuck in with a solid tackle winning the ball but his shot went wide.

Breachwood led 3-0 at half time.

Early 2nd half Richard Taaffe was twice denied by reflex saves from the Emperors new goalkeeper

Emperors Head tried to come back into the game with some chances going just wide of Anderson's post. Then they had a series of corners which were well defended by Fildes and French, but after succession of long throw ins, Emperors Head finally got a clean header into the back of the Lion's net for 3-1

Richard Taaffe scored his third goal and first hatrick for the Lion's after being put through and placed his shot wide of the keeper into the bottom corner of the net.

A Beckamesque cross field pass from Taaffe enabled Ollie Mason to score from just inside the box across the keeper into the far side of the goal.

Some neat midfield interplay started by Dye and Adam Jefferies finally put Dan Jefferies through to score his 2nd of the game

Great chasing and tackling from James Mason running box to box.

Harrison replaced Jenkins for the last fifteen and could of scored with a header at the back post from a corner, and should of scored when denied by the keeper from close range after trying to place Taaffe's slide rule pass.

However the game ended 6-1 to Breachwood.

Lions Man of the Match: Taaffe for the Hatrick.

Substitute not used: Griffin
